Anke van Engelshoven graduated from the School of Performing Arts "die Etage" in Berlin in 2001 and has worked with Cirque du Soleil, 7fingers, Chamäleon Theater and many others. 

With a background in dance, she specialised in aerial performance: solo and duo straps, trapeze, silks and chains. 

She has performed internationally in various productions around the world.

Together with Lena Ries and Romy Seibt, she is co-founder, author and performer of still hungry, a contemporary circus collective from Berlin. In 2018 they created Raven, a piece about modern motherhood. 2024 they premiered Show Pony, a pice that challenges to question our prejudices about age and femininity, on stage and off.

Their work is fresh, feminist and powerful.

The trio use their bodies as their primary form of expression with confidence, ease and grace - each conveying their unique physical signature. Strong imagery and a good sense of humour make their work truthfully touching and highly amusing.​​​​
